Conneaut Human Resources Center

Formed in 1978, the Conneaut Human Resources Center is a nonprofit corporation operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director.

In 1985, through the funds that were granted by the Civic Development Corporation of Ashtabula County, the Conneaut Human Resources Center was able to move its operations from a home on Broad Street to a facility that was formerly a grocery store. This 20,000 square foot location on Mill Street is home to programs, agencies & organizations that are designed to help improve the quality of life.

The Conneaut Human Resources Center is dedicated to making human social services more available to the community by defining needs and providing programs and access to information to the over 2,000 individuals who utilize our facility each month.

The Conneaut Human Resources Center and its partner agencies provide basic human services in a wide variety of critical areas all under one roof for individuals of all ages. Our Food Pantry, Seniors Together, Right Track, Information and referral programs, as well as our partnering agencies, strive to provide assistance and hope for those in need. The Conneaut Human Resources Center is truly the one stop center for the human services within our community.

Right Track

Director –

The Right Track Program follows a basic schedule that includes physical activity, healthy snacks, homework help, self-esteem building, group discussion, craft activity and cooperative game time during the school year. This program serves students in the Conneaut Area City Schools (CACS) grades 2 through 5 and students are transported here after school Monday through Thursday. Right Track follows the CACS schedule.

Physical time allows children time to explore sportsmanship through team play while increasing endurance and strength.

During homework time, lessons are reviewed with one-on-one assistance and small group instruction with the aid of volunteers. Reading and Math Intervention Programs are offered with certified teachers providing the assistance from the Conneaut Area City Schools.

The sharing library is an ever-growing program and allows literature to be available to Right Track students.

Anger management, conflict resolution, anti-bullying and life skills are developed through cooperative games, role play and discussion. Many subjects are examined with the children such as diversity, respect, tolerance and how to build friendships.

Music, creative arts, library time and guest speakers enhance their knowledge throughout the year as a springboard to providing quality education experience.

Summer Right Track is offered for six weeks and provides a fun atmosphere of continued learning along with field trips.

Are these still active programs? I am new here in conneaut. I looked up your site, no activity In quite awhile.
I pass by the center, and couldn’t tell what was happening.
It would be helpful for the community to have a sign, like the school has down the street, to get more people interested. If you want more attention. Just a thought.
Do you get your resources from the city?
I am Happy that this is a community that cares.
